I have been using the services of The Property Girl for the last 8 years, I found her when I started visiting regularly and was tired of hotels; I wanted to stay in a comfortable home. When I decided to buy my own, she found me a condo in the same building so that I could “try before buying.” which turned out to be a great experience. Debbie was not a realtor at that time so someone else handled my purchase but I had Debbie to be my property manager from day 1. Whether you rent or not, it’s important to have a property manger that you can trust. Maintenance is very different here because of the climate; Debbie saved me from making mistakes that would have cost me in the long run. I found from experience that things happen even in an unoccupied condo – water leaks that if were not detected during weekly inspections would have been costly. She also has a great staff and trades people to come make repairs right away. I wouldn’t even have known where to look if left to my own devices. Having Debbie as a property manager took the worry out of having a 2nd home that I’d only visit a couple of times per year.

Debbie is great with communications but she also doesn’t need to be micromanaged. She took care of my place as if it were her own. She’d contact me on larger issues but the little things all got done in a timely manner. Personally, with a property manager, I don’t want to spend time worrying about the place when I’m not there. Debbie’s service is just perfect for that.

Finally, I had to sell my condo. Having Debbie handle this was the right thing to do. The process of buying/selling real estate in Mexico can be daunting but Debbie explained each part of the process to me as we went through it. Before I knew it, escrowed had closed and we were done.
